At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Program Manager a typical day will include:
Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area including technical work and talent management. This includes coordinating and monitoring subcontractor activities.
Maintains staff by interviewing, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, and counseling employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing policies and procedures.
Establishes strategic goals by gathering pertinent business and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.
Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems identifying trends; recommending performance improvements.
Directs program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested.
Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.
Participates in special projects as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
TS/SCI with Polygraph
BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Able to perform duties with minimal supervision and some team interaction
Ability to travel to multiple sites within the WMA as needed
Previous customer, on-site and people management experience
