The Analyst will support the Warfighter Health, Performance and Evacuation (WHPE) Product Management Organization (PMO) in the acquisition planning and document preparation in support of products to be used in extreme cold environments.
The tasks to be performed are as follows:
Provide product management support to WHPE PMO for products to be utilized in extreme cold environments within the of the DoD acquisition process
Develop documentation and implementing acquisition, and support strategies for assessment of different medical devices and systems for useability in extreme cold weather environments (e.g., the Arctic)
Utilizing DOD 5000 Acquisition knowledge, develop program and acquisition documentation to include Acquisition Strategy (AS), Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCE), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), and program schedules in support of major acquisition decisions for assigned products
Provide product management support to various WHPE PMO product efforts. Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to include scheduling meetings and preparing agendas, related documentation, and minutes
Assist with organizing/preparing for meetings, scheduling teleconferences, creating, and distributing agendas, attending meetings, and creating meeting minutes to include draft/final minutes, and delivering assessments in the form of information products including packages and briefings to the organization
Assist in the planning, coordination and conducting of site visits, Operational Assessments, Developmental Tests, and other Field Training Exercises and test events
Coordinate with required external program offices in the cold weather environments, to include but not limited to: U.S. Army Alaska (USARAK), U.S. Marine Forces Europe and Africa, and U.S. Air Force (U.S. Northern Command)
Provide business integration and risk analysis support to the projects/ products
Prepare and maintain project management time schedules and action items lists for identified products, based on input from the organization. Support management of schedules with knowledge of Microsoft office tools such as Excel, Visio, Project, and Word
Independently communicate and coordinate with key stakeholders to include other Governmental entities and agencies, academic, and industry partners.
Research, develop, and write content for printed manuals, documentation, and supporting materials for associated products
Provide product management support with briefs and assist in writing acquisition documents required for a fielding decision, such as Strategy Plans, Integrated Program Summaries, and related Life Cycle Support documents
Prepare and maintain documentation and publications relating to users’ products, and services
Gather and research technical information, including engineering and development information, for use in documentation activities
Support numerous efforts and effectively prioritize and multi-task requirements that have a direct impact on the product portfolio
Participates in special projects as required
Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering, Science, or Business, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
5+ years of related experience.
1+ years' experience as a product manager or product life cycle management
Knowledge of DoD 5000 to support document preparation
Intermediate level use of Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Excellent oral and written communications skills required
Be detail oriented, personable, and be able to work independently
Must be a U.S. citizen and T1 (NACI) clearable
