Job Description

Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a Sr. Solutions/Enterprise Architect at GDIT. Here, you’ll tailor cutting-edge solutions to the unique requirements of our clients.

Our work depends on Sr. Solutions/Enterprise Architect to provide technical leadership and team support in the areas of customer insight, solution design, and growth/proposal support for our Military Health Business Area. You will need to possess a strong knowledge of information technology and commercial solutions as applied to Healthcare Administration and Delivery, as well as Health Research and Public Health solutions. You will also need to have direct work experience with Federal Health agencies, preferably the Defense Health Agency and the Department of Veterans Affairs. 

Location:

Remote work with approximately 20%, or less, business travel (primarily to Charleston, DC, San Antonio, etc.). Participation in relevant conferences such as HIMMS & DHITS.

HOW A SOLUTIONS EXPERT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Lead winning solution development for growth opportunities
  • Perform solution scans and designing and estimating the cost of technical solutions that satisfy the requirements of growth opportunities Work with the customer and GDIT project staff to facilitate IT strategic planning
  • Act as the primary technical resource for the Business Area
  • Work with business area directors and division growth solution architects to develop and grow our technical enterprise, support GDIT's Innovate Everywhere strategy and develop teams to support smaller business area growth opportunities
  • Provide thought leadership and technical support to assist business areas and programs in retaining and growing both new and current work
  • Provide business area and sector and leadership feedback by measuring the success of delivery and organic growth initiatives
  • Coordinate "reach back" with technical subject matter experts (SME) within GDIT to obtain specific knowledge or expertise to address technical issues
  • Prepare and develop proposal content to articulate GDIT solutions, provide written material as needed, and develop bill-of-materials (BOM) if required
  • Lead and participate in proposal development and associated subject matter, and participate in iterative color reviews
  • Develop realistic staffing plans along with supporting basis of estimates (BOE)
  • Respond to technical questions and research requests from customers and programs
  • Perform business case analysis to support decision making process
  • Build and maintain relationships across GDIT business units to ensure alignment with program capture, operational execution, and other lines of business services as required
  • Understand impact of internal decisions on customer & vendor relationships and acts accordingly to accomplish company goals
  • Build & maintain relationships with key vendor partners to incorporate technology & capability Sector growth pipelines
  • Maintain technical proficiency by keeping current with the latest technologies, trends, standards, & products
  • Act as a liaison for collaboration between health domain experts and IT solution teams


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Active or ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree in related field OR additional work experience in lieu of degree
  • 15 years of experience
  • Experience with MS Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and other DoD IL-4+ cloud environments and support functions 
  • Expertise with application of DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC-SRG)
  • Expertise with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF / DODAF 
  • Industry recognized cloud engineering/architecture or security certification(s) 
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment
  • Experience implementing any of the following capabilities:
    • Agile & Lean principles & methodologies for application development
    • Cloud native application development and concepts including; microservices, containerization, infrastructure as code
    • No code/low code BPM and/or CRM solutions
    • ITSM Automation & Orchestration
    • Virtualization technologies
    • Data analytics and data warehousing
    • Machine Learning & AI
    • Large scale cloud migration (application, data, infrastructure, storage)
    • FHIR HL7 data APIs and secure data exchange
  • Strong knowledge of commercial products/solutions, especially COTS software application products and Software as a Service (SaaS) implementations
  • Experience developing lifecycle cost estimates for technical solutions
  • Possess an understanding of DoD's implementation of the NIST risk management framework
  • Military Health experience
  • US Citizenship

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $144,000 - $216,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
