Job Description

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Senior Program Manager for Cloud Services, you will lead a program operating and maintaining cloud infrastructure and platforms for a federal government customer. The scope of responsibilities includes cloud modernization strategy, managed services, process development for cloud service provisioning, user story capture and refinement, and enhancing cloud capabilities to solve mission problems.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Building and managing relationships with Senior Government officials based on mutual trust.
  • Assembling and leading an engagement and delivery team focused on delivering business value for clients through innovation, execution excellence, consistent service delivery, and continual service improvement.
  • Working with the government, other vendors and teaming partners to integrate systems for optimal performance.
  • Mentoring, coaching, and developing staff to ensure ongoing performance and professional growth. 
  • Ensuring that we meet key milestones, deliverables, and service levels throughout the life of the program.
  • Collaborating on the development of business and technical cloud strategies and solutions that drive growth, strengthen economics, and improve business value.
  • Partnering with customers to ensure that business needs are being met and that solutions are aligned with long term goals. Utilizing feedback groups, communities of interest, and surveys to accomplish these objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

● Desired Education:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

● Required Experience:

  • 10+ years progressive experience in managing/leading IT Programs, including experience with Infrastructure programs, and using Agile software development and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • 5 years leading complex hosting/IT infrastructure programs, both on-prem and cloud.
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams migrating applications from on premise to the cloud.

● Required Skills:

  • Deep understanding of cloud capabilities, solutions and economics.
  • Must have the ability to present cloud strategies and solutions effectively, and be a persuasive communicator on program and technical issues.
  • Experience must include program management of services including execution, growth, and financial responsibility.
  • Experience gathering customer requirements for large complex services to develop solutions focused on long term goals.

● Security Clearance Level:

  • Have or the ability to obtain a public trust.

● Preferred Skills:

  • DevSecOps experience.
  • Understanding of Cloud financial management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage work of self and others to a defined schedule.
  • Experience conducting meetings, interviews and making presentations.
  • Team player and a consistent, dependable performer with an excellent work ethic, flexible "can-do" attitude, and a results-driven commitment to success


● Location:

  • Remote, with an anticipated 25-50% travel to Washington, DC.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $148,000 - $222,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
