Job Description

Storage Administrator - TS/SCI required - SIGN-ON BONUS

GDIT IS seeking candidates to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Under the I2TS 3 task order, INSCOM ensures reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of customer need to support INSCOM's mission. INSCOM and its MSCs provide the enabling layer to connect the Army and its tactical formations to defense and national intelligence agencies via tactical networks. The ability to provide mission critical intelligence is dependent on the successful use of its information technology (IT) networks worldwide.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

An I2TS 3 Storage Administrator Level 3 (Senior Systems Administrator):

  • Installs, operates, and maintains SAN and NAS storage systems.

  • Installs patches and performs system updates.

  • Maintain overall health of storage systems.

  • Manages storage space allocation, replication strategies, and data protection and recovery.

  • Configures, monitors, and troubleshoots SAN and NAS protocols and solutions.

  • Create and brief reports for capacity and performance.

  • Analyzes and resolves complex storage problems across the enterprise, related to replication strategies, and storage strategies across wide area networks.

  • Provides recommendations on storage upgrades and supports project integration as required.

Desirable Skills / Experience:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of SAN and NAS storage systems and administration.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of HP 3PAR storage system configuration and management.

  • Familiarization with NetApp and/or Hitachi storage administration is desired.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support, especially SAN switch zoning.

  • Basic knowledge of virtual systems (VMware/vCenter).

  • Basic knowledge of VEEAM backup solution configuration and management.

  • Basic knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate's Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience, or Master's Degree with 4 years of experience BS or equivalent

Certification(s): 

  • Required Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent.

  • Computing Environment (CE) certification: NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE) or NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA); HPE ASE Storage

Security Clearance:

  • TS/SCI required

Additional: 

  • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
