Visual Database Developer

Summary:

Develop 3D content for real time maritime simulation.   Developer will test and edit asset data needed to run in simulator environment.  

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Enrolled in applicable Major, Gaming, Computer Science, GIS. Familiarity with modeling of Maritime environments especially USCG and international shipping traffic separation schemes (buoys, channel markers, etc.)

A solid understanding of the following software and skills is desired for ideal candidates:

  • Software
    • Adobe Photoshop for texturing
    • Creator 3d
    • Able to use an XML editor
    •  Window Office for daily operations
    • JIRA for project tasking.
    • Google Earth
  • Skills
    • Have familiarity with maritime navigation on waterways.
    • Ability to read maritime charts, OSM Maps, GIS Data.
    • Ability to work alone and self-motivate
    • Ability to manage time appropriately and meet agreed-upon deadlines
    • Ability to adapt to current production process and flexibility to evolve when our process evolves
    • Solid work ethic and desire to push harder to keep the team on schedule
    • Troubleshooting skills and the ability to find practical solutions based on knowledge and previous experience
    • Consistently set the bar for the team in both quality and pace
    • Detail-oriented and organized
    • Cross-functional communication skills, both verbal and written

Additional software and skills experience in the following:

  • Python or other scripting languages
  • GIS knowledge and application into 3d visual databases
  • Experience with simulation database generation
