The Network Engineer will design, plan and build communications networks in AWS. This role will configure firewalls and NetScalers. Provide innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process. Plan implementation of enhancements.
Analyze customer requirements and provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Perform maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.
Maintain network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintain system backup and recovery capabilities.
Create plans and configure systems for data communication networks.
Deal with escalations. Make assessments, recommendations or provide solutions to resolve issues.
Develop timelines for projects.
Write Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
Required skills and experience:
BA/BS and 2+ years of experience. (Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related area is preferred)
Active cloud certification in either AWS or Azure
DoD SECRET clearance
Must meet DoD 8570 requirements (Security+ certification at a minimum)
