Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists in establishing and documenting a tailored strategy quality plan for the performance of quality assurance activities for assigned project or task.
  • Develops and maintains standardized quality assurance documentation to include quality metrics. Ensures documentation complies with standards, policies and procedures or best practices.
  • Conducts assessments and evaluations through analysis and interpretation of objective and subjective evidence to verify compliance to standards and applicable quality plans. Determines level of process and product quality. Reports findings; escalates unresolved issues to appropriate level.
  • Evaluates work products to assess quality and reports findings. Researches alternative solutions to problems, determines proper approaches and makes verbal and/or written recommendations to appropriate parties. 5. Gathers, uses and independently analyzes defect metrics data. Communicates analysis findings to appropriate level verbally and through the preparation of periodic written reports.
  • Participates in special projects, external audits and process improvements in support of quality assurance initiatives.
  • Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.

Account-level Job Functions:

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly QA and QC auditing of DC1 policies, processes, procedures, and work products
  • Perform recurring CMDB logical data validation audits
  • Perform recurring datacenter floor physical inventory spot audits
  • Perform recurring pre- and post-change assurance audits
  • Perform periodic Security documentation and operational process audits
  • Perform periodic Technical Delivery team documentation and operational process audits
  • Perform quarterly audits of the Master Document List to ensure compliance to Document Control Policies
  • Facilitate recurring Corrective and Preventive Action Request Board meetings
  • Track and report progress on all DC1 Corrective and Preventive Action Requests
  • Work with program, service delivery, process, and client teams to record new Preventive Action Requests
  • Review monthly SLA artifacts
  • Represent Quality Assurance Manager as delegated in meetings and ensure QMO actions are addressed and fulfilled
  • Communicate quality information and guidelines to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors
  • Perform internal audits, determine scope of investigation required​, pull data, review findings and open action items
  • Prepare detailed reports on audit findings
  • Analyze information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources needed to complete tasks
  • Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards, using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards
  • Resolve customer complaints or answer customers' questions regarding policies and procedure.
  • Provide coworkers with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes
  • Prepare detailed reports on audit findings
  • Collect and analyze data to detect gaps in processes, duplicated effort, extravagance, outdated data, or non-compliance with ISO standards, regulations, and management policies
  • Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, engineering, management information systems, or computer science, or related field preferred
  • Experience working with quality metrics and industry metric data collection and analysis techniques
  • Experience working with quality assurance principles, practices, and methodologies
  • Knowledge of ITIL V3 Lifecycle and Framework

Desired Skills:

  • ITIL 4 Foundations certification or commitment to independently obtain within six months of hire date
  • Knowledge of DHS Sensitive Systems Policy Directive 4300A
  • Knowledge of DHS Infrastructure Change Control Board (ICCB) Practices
  • Knowledge of DC1 internal policies and practices
  • Knowledge of GDIT Catalyst Knowledge Center
  • Familiarity with DHS Component and Office organizational structures
  • Knowledge of DHS CO and COR duties in relation to contractor relationship
  • Moderate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (functions, pivot tables, macros, reporting)
  • Working experience with  ServiceNow Action Request System 
  • Working experience with Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or above
