Our work depends on a Storage Administrator SME joining our team to support the DCSA Customer in the Quantico area.

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Storage Administrator SME supporting a federal government customer, you will be trusted to manage and maintain centralized storage systems and technologies.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • The Storage Administrator SME will research, evaluate and recommend storage solutions, upgrades, and new technologies
  • Install, configure, maintain, and manage storage devices and solutions to include SAN, NAS, DASD, and cloud.
  • Works with developers, service teams, project teams, and stakeholders to identify storage needs for systems, applications, and services.
  • Develop and implement backup solutions.
  • Monitors and manages storage system performance.
  • Manage decommission and supports disposal of storage systems, devices, and media.
  • Defines storage requirements for Cloud migration.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 10+ years of experience as storage engineer 
  • DoD 8570 IAT II - one of the following IA certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP,GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP
    Compute Environment Certification In addition to the baseline IA certification requirement for their level listed above the DoD 8570.1 mandate states IATs with privileged access must obtain appropriate Computing Environment (CE) certifications for the operating system(s) and/or security related tools/devices they support as required by their employing organization. (e. g. Microsoft certifications for Microsoft systems support technicians, Cisco certifications for Cisco technicians, Linux Certifications for Linux technicians or the specific system the IAT is spending most of his or her time supporting)
  • Position requires current eligibility for TS/SCI clearance
