GDIT is currently seeking a Solutions Architect /Strategic Estimation Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be a change agent by helping to drive the technical and business solutions needed to win our most complex and strategic opportunities.
As a Strategic Estimation Lead, you will help shape our technical solution by identifying and analyzing cost levers, performing cost/value trade-offs, and evaluating solution alternatives from a cost/price perspective. You will also bridge the gap between the technical and pricing teams, helping to drive the cost/price strategy and ensure an integrated technical/business solution.
Additional tasks and responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to the following:
Help shape the solicitation so GDIT is able to put forth a competitive and compelling business proposal
Develop proposal estimating approach and cost structure (e.g., WBS, service catalog, or CLIN/SLIN structure)
Use parametric modeling, historical data, engineering build-ups and other accepted methodologies to estimate the labor costs associated with a technical solution
Organize and lead reviews of proposed staffing levels; participate in executive level reviews as needed
Lead development of the Basis of Estimate (BOE) narrative, working closely with the technical team to ensure that BOE narratives are compelling and accurately reflect the proposed solution
Prepare staffing inputs for pricing; collaborate with the pricing team to document assumptions, risks, and other BOE-related information for the business volume
To qualify, you must meet these basic qualifications:
BA/BS, 15+ years of general IT experience, including proposal and IT cost estimation experience
Experience with metrics based estimating methodologies
Excellent leadership skills; must be able to work collaboratively with other members of the proposal team while still driving BOE/BOM development under tight deadlines
Ability to write clearly and precisely and pay meticulous attention to details
Willingness to work in an alternate DC-metro area location when required
Optional but highly valued qualifications include:
SEER parametric cost estimation tool experience
Managed services experience
Secret, TS or higher level clearance
