GDIT is seeking a highly motivated manager to serve as Task Order Manager for Network Voice and Video and Network SME.
This person will work closely with a team of direct and indirect personnel focused on providing Task Order management; strategic planning, alignment, and implementation; and stakeholder engagement and communications. The Task Order Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of tasks including technical work, staff supervision, financial and business development activities to meet/exceed customer needs, leverage partner resources, and achieve key milestones. They will also serve as a Network SME to help the team and customer modernize and adhere to requirements such as Zero Trust architecture. Task Order Areas of work includes:
Maintain a Network capability that supports network communications, including data, voice, and video services, throughout the Department.
Continuous (24 hours/day, 7 days/week) network performance monitoring, incident detection, and problem resolution.
Maintain network infrastructure, in accordance with current technology standards and regulations
UC (Unified Communications) video teleconferencing (VTC) services, including management of equipment, end user support, and VTC hosting
Serve as a Network SME to help provide strategic planning, to include developing and maintaining a 5 year roadmap.
UC VoIP voice services, including management of equipment, end user support, and Installation, operation, and management of UC software.
Day-to-day operations management of the Task Order
Provide operations management and thought leadership to clearly demonstrate and communicate Task Order achievements, execution performance, and strategic direction.
Help develop strategic plans and roadmaps for high priority programs, projects, and activities.
Manage metric datasets and create visualizations.
Communicate status of Task Order/project to internal and external stakeholders via written reports and meetings.
Coordinate development of deliverables and products, and ensures quality of project deliverables
Support the creation and update of program artifacts (e.g., project management plans, risk management plans, one-page summaries, PowerPoint presentations, meeting reports, charters, SLA reports, Metrics, and After-Action Reports).
Gather requirements and needs from customers and stakeholders.
Research and evaluate new concepts and processes to improve performance.
Analyze cross-functional problem sets, identifies root causes, and resolves issues.
Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workload.
Develop, execute, and manage special projects
Provide technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned project or tasks, including contract and subcontractor management.
Years of Experience: 10+ years in Task Order/project management, developing strategic plans and roadmaps, coordinating with working groups, and applying change management principles to cross-functional federal programs.
Required: BA/BS or higher
A strong desire to understand the client environment and needs and take ownership of tasks in coordination with the team
Experience executing and managing IT projects or programs, including network, voice, and VTC
Ability to manage all tasks and schedules to ensure activities are completed in a timely manner.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to act as “Thought Leader” to clients to help them formulate their points of view and paths forward.
An ability to multi-task and prioritize important, competing tasks and information with excellent time management skills
