Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more Windows operating systems. Oversee and provide technical guidance for a team of Windows administrators. Insure Army Cyber compliance. of all gateway systems to include tracking Microsoft patches and IAVM requirements. Hands on administration and maintenance of a multiple remotely deployed Windows Servers Administer and maintain a single Active Directory domain. Tasks include: Manage/maintain multiple servers that act as master templates for deploying remote systems. Clone and deploy physical and virtual systems for remote installation. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources Update or supplement existing systems documentation as needed. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies to enhance operations where possible.

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is required.

8+ years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis within a DoD environment.

Required experience

  • MS Windows 2012/2016 server installation/configuration experience
  • Active Directory configuration and management
  • VMWare 6.x familiarity to include creation/cloning/export
  • Ability to perform basic network troubleshooting
  • Functional understanding of HBSS
  • Basic knowledge of networking infrastructure
  • Experience with patch management systems
  • Experience with enterprise backup solutions

Strongly desired experience:

  • MS SQL Server installation/support experience
  • Proficient in PowerShell
  • Experience with Ivanti Patch Management
  • Experience with VEEAM or other VM backup solution
    • Functional understanding of HBSS
    • Functional understanding of ACAS
    • Basic familiarity with Linux a plus

Candidate must be able to obtain or maintain a minimum SECRET level security clearance.

CompTIA Security+ CE certification required
