GDIT is seeking a Senior Desktop Engineering Team Lead Manager with experience in team leadership, Endpoint management and Mobile Device Management (MDM) for the FDIC infrastructure program in Arlington, VA.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation [FDIC] mission is to preserve and promote public confidence in the U.S. financial systems by insuring deposits in banks and thrift institutions for up to $250,000; by identifying, monitoring, and addressing risks to the deposit insurance funds; and by limiting the effect on the account and the financial system when a bank or thrift institution fails. GDIT provides the day-to-day operational services to FDIC in support of infrastructure, facilities, hardware, software, and systems. GDIT supports operational security, client support/help desk, data center operations, asset management, and systems engineering service areas.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area
Supervises assigned technical staff and may perform personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation.
Responsible for customer and stakeholder engagement
Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested
Provide clear communication of the vision, goals, and priorities to all stakeholders both internal and Federal
Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements
Level of Clearance Required: U.S. Citizenship and background investigation is required; you must have a current clean financial background to obtain an agency specific Public Trust.
The requirements for this position is as follows:
A Bachelors degree (in subjects described above) and and ten years plus experience and 1 year of relevant experience or a Master’s Degree (in subjects described above) and eight years of experience and 1 year of relevant experience in a position with duties commensurate to those defined in the task order requirement or four years specialized experience in a position with duties commensurate to those defined in the task order requirement. No degree and 14 years of intensive and progressive directly related experience demonstrating the required proficiency levels related to task.
This position requires the following demonstrated competencies:
Experience with desktop imaging process
Experience with project lifecycle management
Effective leadership and strategic management of fifteen plus technical individuals
Demonstrated experience with long term planning including development of roadmaps
Experience with risk management and mitigation
Experience with MDM Wireless Device Management
Familiarity with Azure Cloud Platforms
Experience with BigFix Patching/Software Installation
