  • Works under direction of Senior Advisor to report progress and challenges encountered during install/test/upgrade/build hardware solutions that can be used to build and maintain Senior Advisor's Project Schedule

  • Designs, develops, implement, and analyze hardware for products

  • Develop test strategies to test hardware mechanisms

  • Develops the strategy and devices to facilitate performance and stress testing for hardware components

  • Troubleshoots complex challenges related to the engineering of hardware products

  • Compiles input and test steps in Engineering Installation Plans (EIP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to validate and ready crucial documentation designed to back and support hardware solution

  • Drafts specifications and documentation for hardware components and computer systems

  • Leads process improvement for hardware engineering processes

  • Participates in special hardware engineering projects

  • Communicates and reports daily status on all tasks to the Lead Engineer

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals

  • May serve as a team or task lead


  • BA/BS or equivalent experience


  • Experience in Network Management (such as CA Spectrum® and eHealth®)

  • Knowledge of CMDB/SS

  • Working Knowledge of Jumpstart (bare metal recovery) VM (Virtual Machine)

  • Windows and Linux Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and hardening using DISA’s Benchmark

  • CA Spectrum® Product Family (minimum 9.2)

  • CA eHealth® (minimum 6.3)

  • CA Business Intelligence (CABI) (minimum 3.2)

  • OneClick for CA Spectrum® (minimum 9.2) OneClick for eHealth® (minimum 6.3)

  • Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of Microsoft Visio

  • DoD 8570.1-M certification: IAT Level III Certification

  • Computing Environment Certification, Network Management Certification

  • 2 – 5 years of experience in information technology field

  • Clearance: TS/SCI
