Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are searching for a Simulation Systems Field Engineer with special qualifications to support the Navigation, Seamanship, and Ship-handling Trainer (NSST) program in Orlando, FL.

The NSST is a computerized bridge simulator that allows Sailors to practice ship handling, navigation, and visual information skills in a controlled environment.
The Systems Engineer provides oversight of moderately complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, modeling and simulation application software, and system management tools.
Identify technical issues to the design and find solutions
Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
Perform continual maintenance of security, including backup and redundancy strategies
Prepare and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
Perform system cold starts, configure each system for the target environment and perform contractor Preliminary Inspection (CPI)
Oversee all site work to include required work in preparing the site the system.
The position resides in Orlando, FL, but you will travel to:
Yokosuka and Sasebo, Japan
Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, Hawaii
ROTA, Spain
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree: additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
5+ years previous experience in IT field engineering support
Valid US Passport
US Citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Position Requirements:
Experience with travel procedures preferred
Availability to travel 30% of the time including OCONUS
Availability to work different shifts
Ability to report on-site in Orlando
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under minimum supervision
