GDIT has a future opportunity for a Project / Program Manager to lead the GDIT project team providing support to the Office of Financial Resources within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in an effort to configure, implement, and provide post go-live support for a new COTS Application.

This role includes providing a low-code Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solution, leading the project planning, requirements gathering, architectural design, software configuration and development, testing, completion of the full System Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) prior to production Go-Live, implementation and deployment support, change management, training, data migration, data management, and post go-live support including help desk.   The Project Manager will work with key stakeholders to ensure integration with internal/external systems, that the proposed solutions meets all technical requirements, and be able to track and report on customizable data points. The PM shall utilize expert communication skills needed to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas.

This role is 100% remote!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a large program of over 50 staff with team leads and senior staff as direct reports.
  • Responsible for the successful staffing, cost, schedule and performance of the contract.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO), the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), the Government Program Manager/team leads, and the Contractor’s senior management.
  • Work directly with the client to establish detailed staffing requirements for each team and coordinates with internal recruiting and partner/subcontractor teams to place appropriately-skilled staff in each requirement.
  • Provide Strategy, Planning, and Associated Reporting in compliance with the Contractor Performance Work Statement.
  • Responsible for administrative duties such as review of work schedules, hours worked, and appropriate time off.
  • Supervise assigned GDIT personnel to include daily employee accountability and provide over-watch of other contractor personnel.
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
  • Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
  • Primary interface with the Contracting Officer (CO), Contracting Officer’s representative (COR) and Government team leads.
  • Provide technical, contractual, subcontractor and resource issue resolution.
  • Provide leadership for the team to identify and implement opportunities for service enhancements
  • Provide administrative and functional support for personnel activities such as time keeping, performance reviews, counseling, and hiring.
  • Develop assigned GDIT personnel with all appropriate tools to include formal training resulting in the most potential possible on an individual and collective basis.
  • Manage assigned GDIT projects to include recruiting and hiring actions along with financial statuses.
  • Perform business development tasks to include proposal writing/development as directed.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS (relevant)
  • 8+ years of overall progressive experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing/supervising staff of highly-skilled application engineers
  • Knowledgeable in data science, epidemiology, public health, and/or data management

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • CDC experience is highly desired
  • Experience of a senior data scientist with the program management skillset to run a new large fast-paced program is ideal
  • PMP preferred
  • CDC Budget and Resource Management Knowledge
  • Experience managing a program of 20 or more people on a Federal contract project/program.
  • Working knowledge of Agile Methodologies and ability to work within Government EPLC framework

The likely salary range for this position is $92,000 - $138,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
