GDIT is seeking a Cyber Expert to provide support as a Cybersecurity Consultant / Architect / Engineer by assisting agencies in implementing and managing complex cybersecurity solutions. You will be responsible for building GDIT's cyber capabilities through engaging with customers, programs and will look at new cyber technologies to address emerging threats.  You will assist GDIT's Cyber Center of Excellence, which accelerates our cyber service area using our highly skilled workforce that effectively collaborates with relevant stakeholders to develop and lead integrated cybersecurity capabilities to support innovation. This role is the de-facto leader for cyber solution development and proposal engagement and provides technical leadership in cybersecurity across the company.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Engage as an architect, supporting implementations through programs & solutions and being recognized-as a thought leader.
  • Design and develop new cybersecurity systems, applications, and solutions for federal customer's enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.
  • Lead solution development and proposals to assist customers to secure, operate, and defend the enterprise.
  • Monitor security posture and analyze potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Use Information Assurance requirements and standards to analyze system configurations to determine, maintain and improve security posture.
  • Provide security analysis and evaluation for system engineering and architecture designs.
  • Recommend proper system configuration and administration control procedures to enhance system security, performance, and to ensure information systems are compliant with applicable laws, policies and procedures.
  • Recommend proper application development and CI/CD pipeline to drive resilience of solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal security and IT staff to ensure the continued compliance and secure operation of accredited information systems.
  • Generate application/network/system diagrams to depict security posture, data flows, and other technical information necessary to support the C&A process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cyber security, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance or higher
  • 5+ years in information security, cyber operations, or cyber defense, information systems.
  • Hands-on technical cyber knowledge of the following Technologies: EDR, SIEM, IdAM, Vulnerability Assessment, Containers, Cloud Security, CASB, Web App Firewalls, SSL/Break, Forensics/Intrusions. (F5, Palo Alto, Splunk, McAfee, Cisco, Tenable etc.)
  • Experience performing risk management framework, information assurance, cloud security.
  • Knowledge of Cyber and/or Applications and/or Networks Performs vulnerability and risk assessments on existing and newly developed systems throughout the system development lifecycle.
  • Experience with RFP/RFI, capture, bid and pre-sales efforts.
  • A proven record of accomplishment in developing comprehensive cyber solutions focused in Application Development, Container Security, Application Security, Identity and Access management, Reverse Proxy and Web Application Firewalls. Wide domain experience of engineering and application development across various cloud services providers is ideal.
  • Engineering experience including performing technical evaluation of potential solution sets and evaluate to requirements.
  • Experience with engineering best practices, requirements development, design, and test plans.

Desired Qualifications:

  • MS in computer science, information systems, cyber security, or equivalent
  • Knowledge in Zero Trust Architecture, SOAR, and/or Cybersecurity Operations.
