GDIT is seeking Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) Network Admins. The integration and employment of cybersecurity activities for DODIN operations with internal defensive cyber operation measures in response to vulnerabilities and threats to reduce risk across the cyber battlefield.
Provides ongoing support for the availability, and efficiency of computer network transport services (LAN/WAN).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Designs, installs, maintains and coordinates the use of network systems across the enterprise. Monitors and manages data traffic/network performance and controls network resources to ensure proper performance.
Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality and high availability of our network services. Enforces security policies.
Provides technical solutions in the management of software, hardware, configurations, and architectures including network control software, routers, switches, Comm lines, modems, adapters and servers.
Evaluates existing network systems to ensure network capacity meets current and future network requirements.
Analyzes customer requirements to determine optimal network solutions.
Monitors network performance and troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to maintain operating efficiency and ensure quality transmission service on the network.
Uses subject matter expertise to diagnose and solve issues and has authority to deviate from standard operating procedures.
Creates, maintains and deletes user accounts. Plans, installs and maintains network systems for multiple classifications.
Applies the appropriate IOS security patches in a timely manner
Plans, executes, and adheres to backup policies and Disaster Recovery procedures
Follows Authorized Service Interruptions procedures when appropriate
May provide installation, maintenance and repair of network hardware and software. Develops and/modifies process and technical documentation.
Creates back-up procedures, test plans, and related reports.
Plans and diagrams the physical layout and location of devices and the connection between devices participating on the network.
Evaluates and recommends networking product and software upgrades. Maintains operating efficiency and stability, and ensures the security and integrity of all systems and data.
May function in a "Tier 3" support role, resolving the most complex network issues escalated by Tier 2 support.
Provides guidance to less-experienced network personnel.
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience
Minimum two (2) years of Network Admin experience (multiple levels available
DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification is required
Security+ CE is required
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent communications skills a must.
Active TS/SCI required to start. ty
Shift work is required
