F-35 Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

GDIT was awarded the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F-35 IT program support contract.  We are providing knowledge-based, information assurance and cybersecurity IT services to the F-35 JSF Virtual Enterprise (JVE) network in support of the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office (JPO). Our services include program management, enterprise performance management, enterprise architecture, implementation of emerging capabilities and requirements, life cycle management, operations & maintenance, enterprise data management, service desk support and IT training. 

We are building a team of dedicated professionals and are currently seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE). 

Job Duties:

Directs overall system level testing, ensures  Coordinates security-related activities with information security architects, senior information security officers, system developers, information system owners, common control providers, and information system security officers utilizing application of RMF and NISPOM as related to Certification and Accreditation. Interfaces with air systems engineers to ensure F-35 IT systems meet with applicable governance policies. Has programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and guide the engineering development of modern systems; and to employ systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems. Integrating, planning, coordinating, and facilitating information system related activities such as upgrade of hardware and software, program and system design development of computer network software, and implementation of internet and intranet site software. Assists in the upkeep, maintenance and security of networks.

Minimum Education Required:

• MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology.
   

Business Systems Experts:

• ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: A BS/BA and an additional four (4) years of experience; or AA/AS and an additional 6 years can be substituted for an MS or MA degree. 

Minimum Experience Required:

• Ten (10) years of experience in designing and developing organizational information systems or upgrading legacy systems, employing best practices when implementing security controls within an information system including software engineering methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques.
• Five (5) years of the total experience shall have been as a team leader or supervisor. 
• Eight (8) years’ of concurrent experience in system security Certification &Accreditation (C&A).
• Eight (8) years’ of concurrent experience in Vulnerability Assessment and/or Risk Analysis.
• IAT Level III certification in the Security Provision Category in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program.
