General Dynamics Information Technology, Defense Division, Naval Forces Sector is currently seeking a candidate to provide on-site support at Defense Red Switch Network sites.. The Telecommunication Analyst will support the  Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) providing on-site operation and maintenance:

  • Perform day-to-day DRSN operation and maintenance and its subsystems.
  • Perform scheduled, unscheduled, corrective operation and maintenance,
  • Perform fault isolation, and repair of DRSN equipment and circuits.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on DRSN equipment to include replacement of circuit cards or major sub-assemblies.
  • Perform software upgrades and all operation and maintenance IAW Defense Information System Agency (DISA), Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) Operations and Maintenance Guide, and Technical Manuals.
  • Perform database management; logistics support functions and DRSN installation and configuration of Integrated Service Telephones, Multifunction Digital Adapters, UDLT Multiplexers, Cryptographic devices, CSU/DSU/CTP equipment.
  • Perform on-call after normal working hours.

The work center is responsible for maintaining the Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) and its sub-systems on a 24/7 basis. DRSN work center will cover fault management, security management, operation and preventative maintenance, logistics and repair support, and DRSN management database system, at a primary location and remote locations. DRSN work center will provide network management subsystem support to DRSN System Manager.  

Bachelor's degree in a related technical area of study and/or a minimum of 5 years related experience in Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) experience in lieu of degree.

  • Candidate MUST BE U.S. CITIZEN and hold an active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI.
  • Candidate holds current Security + certification and DSS-2A certification
  • Candidate must have 5 - 8 years experience in the following areas:
    • Knowledge and experience with various cryptographic equipment:
      • KIV-7M
      • KG-175D
      • KIV-19M
      • STE/R
      • KYV-5 ANDVT
      • KY-58
      • CTP 150/2024/2056 is a plus
      • Canoga Perkins modems
      • Various electronic test equipment, Fire-bird 6000 or equivalent, Digital Multimeter and O'scope.
      • Microsoft Windows 7/10 and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Strong system/network troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Self-starter and work under minimum supervision.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

Employment offer and international assignment are contingent on transferring and maintaining a Top Secret/SCI level security clearance.

Travel Required: 10-25%
