General Dynamics Information Technology, delivers next-generation IT solutions and services to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other Federal Health agencies. GDIT is currently seeking a System / Solution Architect to join our portfolio of Fraud, Waste and Abuse programs. In this role you will consult and provide technical input for our mission and IT service professionals associated with our FWA system programs. This role includes both support of our operational programs and business development and capture related activities.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Must be able to identify strategies for addressing requirements.
  • Must have extensive experience with analysis of requirements against fiscal, schedule, and performance issues.
  • Has extensive experience in taking program requirements and is able to create an architecture vision having experience in high volume and high availability networks and systems. 
  • Experience in creating and conveying to team members the architectural vision for a program or project. 
  • Responsible for dictating design choices to software developers, including but not limited to: platforms, coding and technical levels. Experience in establishing and enforcing standards and practices. 
  • Oversees the development team, he manages the full life cycle of the software development process.  
  • Has extensive software development experience and thorough knowledge of a variety of programming languages and logic.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required Skills and Experience - 
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related Engineering or Technical field and 15 years of related experience, or Masters of Science (MS) and 10 years of related experience.
  • A Sr. System / Solution Architect must have extensive experience in the coordination of program and project leaders to identify requirements for system architecture.
  • Experience with healthcare programs.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communication; including presentation skills
  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years

  • Health Care Industry, Analytics, & Fraud, Waste, and Abuse expertise
  • Big data analytics, Machine Learning & AI and Agile Development experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:Strong knowledge of information technology, including all layers of the IT stack.Experience implementing any of the following capabilities:
  • Agile & Lean principles & methodologies for application development
  • No code/low code iBPM an/or CRM solutions
  • ITSM Automation & Orchestration
  • Big data analytics, data warehousing, data lake
  • Machine Learning & AI
  • Large scale cloud migration (application, data, infrastructure)
  • Next-gen cyber defense capabilities (e.g. proactive threat detection & automated response)
  • Solution architecture experience.
  • Ability to work independently or part of a cross functional team.
  • Ability to lead projects / proposals and provide technical oversight to ensure alignment with strategic goals & objectives.
  • Maintain technical proficiency by keeping current with the latest technologies, trends, standards, & products.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial products/solutions, especially COTS software application products.
  • Experience developing lifecycle cost estimates for technical solutions.
  • Strong communication, presentation, facilitation and writing skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
