Job Description

GDIT is currently seeking a Senior Range Engineer at JBSA-Lackland , TX to support the AFCOTERS II contract, supporting the 67th Cyber Wing (67 CW), 346th Test Squadron (346 TS), and the 318th Range Squadron (318 RANS) planning and executing a full array of operational tests of various cyber weapons and systems.

Senior Range Engineer Responsibilities include:

- Plans, implements, and operates network services / systems, to include hardware and virtual environments.

- Provide system administration, documentation, and security services to administer, configure, operate, maintain and troubleshoot networks used by the 318RANS.  This also includes the operation of isolated networks, networks connected to DoD networks and networks (Concept Local Area Network (CLAN)) connected to commercial ISPs. 

- Conduct Research efforts to support test and evaluation and range operations related to: Force Development Evaluation (FDE) efforts, aircraft procurement efforts, and major program efforts such as the entire Air Force Network (AFNET) Operations (AFNETOPS) three-tiered architecture. Cyberspace Defense Analysis (CDA), Air Force Cyberspace Defense (ACD), Cyber Command and Control Mission System (C3MS), Cyber Security and Control System (CSCS), Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC), Cyberspace Vulnerability Assessment / Hunter (CVA / H) weapon system, and other current cyber weapon systems. 

- Conduct reviews of competing assessment programs, methodologies, processes and objectives and provide recommendations on how to improve the defense cyber operations (DCO) concept, process and reporting. 

- Evaluate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), Government off-the-shelf (GOTS), and Open Source tools for executing DCO.  This evaluation shall include tools for collecting, analyzing and reporting the data required to determine the security posture of the devices and all device types used in support of Test and Range mission operations. 

- Provide recommendations to the COR or Government team lead to define tool requirements and support the 67 CW with integrating approved tools. 


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.

● Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience
● Security Clearance Level: Current TS/SCI Eligible
● Certifications: Current IAT Level III Certification (e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP)
● Location: Client Site, JBSA-Lackland, TX
