General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (GDIT) has an opening for the position of Software Developer (Ref# SD726HM).

Work Location:  Position may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.

Job Duties:  Research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.  Participate in the design and coding of software products using light-weight Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL (LAMP), and SQL Server, as well as DevOps / Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environments using Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube, SoapUI, and Subject7 Proof testing tools.  Write specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.  Create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation.  Develop user interface for various applications using JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML/CSS.  Build dynamic web contents with high performance.  Responsible for PHP back-end development for dynamic database driven websites.  Develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.  Assist in resolving production support problems.  Develop and suggest alternative approaches to resolving problems.  Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.  Refactor the existing code based on newer coding principles and standards.  Responsible for technology upgrades for applications on the server-side.  Remain abreast of and research industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.  Involved in the planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.  Document testing and maintenance of system corrections.  Use of PHP, CodeIgniter, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Jenkins, Docker, PHPUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, MySQL, AWS, Linux, and Windows.

Requirements:  This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.  Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Test Engineer or related experience.  Position requires 2 years of experience with PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Jenkins, Docker, Selenium, MySQL, and Linux.  40hrs/week.
