Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the worlds most complex technical challenges. The Navys Personnel Modernization (PersMod) team is searching for a Sr. Configuration Analyst to join their program. 

This position is supportable remotely.

The Configuration Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Configuration Manager in maintaining the orderly management of configuration changes within the system while applying a balanced and consistent application of Configuration Management (CM) across the program.

This position performs the following responsibilities/functions:
  • Daily CM system administration, monitoring, and system maintenance

  • Provide assistance with coding, testing, debugging and documenting software configuration management process

  • Assist senior technical team members in determining user requirements and selecting/configuring the software

  • Provide level-two support software and configuration management process automation technology based on fundamental knowledge of business

  • Perform project status reporting to management and affected areas

  • Maintain current record of all Configuration Items (CI) for the program and conduct periodic audits and inventories of all CIs

  • Perform periodic audits, including configuration audits, on CM activities according to approved standards and procedures

  • Prepare reports and support change activity

  • Provide notification of changes and maintains currency of items

  • Daily written and oral communications with coworkers and leadership

  • Document work for leadership, update/create Standard Operating Procedures, and brief staff and customers on various tasks

Required Work Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree; additional experience may be substituted for the degree

  • 10+ years of experience in administering to Serena Dimensions or similar software applications, optimizing, and configuring applications

  • Understanding of distributed application architecture

  • Scripting experience in JavaScript, Shell, Batch, Powershell

  • Experience with SQLDeveloper and Oracle

  • Experience with Linux

  • Software Development Life Cycle and Code Management knowledge

  • Security+

  • Operating system or database system certification

  • Secret Clearance (minimum); TS Preferred

The likely salary range for this position is $96,000 - $144,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
