Under general supervision, valuates, designs, documents, installs, implements, tests, performs problem isolation and resolution. Monitors, tunes, set standards and maintain a range of computer network components and systems. Provides client consulting and training on the interfacing and use of the network facilities. Works with other network professionals as directed to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
CCNA or equivalent certification preferred, NET+ certification required
ITIL v3 Foundation certification preferred
Requires a good working knowledge of network operations and information systems
Basic business communication and consulting skills
Can effectively deliver training
Must be able to evaluate network performance and interact with users to solve problems, most of them moderately complex
Detail oriented and organized; able to understand network evaluation criteria and be exact in assessments
Must closely follow network protocols and methodologies
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
Lift over 35 LBS
Pass DoD’s medical requirements if position is OCONUS
Work environment is either administrative office or combat zone
