GDIT is seeking a Sr Software Developer in support of the IBD-SS contract Program Management Office (PMO) located in Alexandria, VA.

An IBD-SS Sr Software Developer provides expert software development and operational leadership in support of the applicable Government and PMO organizations. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the IBD-SS PMO’s GD.Raptor/4Sight database.

Primary Duties:

  • Member of the IBD-SS PMO Team, with primary responsibility for the GD.Raptor/4Sight tool implementation and maintenance
  • Supports software and web architecture development, requirements analysis; including process execution, evaluation, and integration of GD.Raptor/4Sight tools into IBD-SS program
  • Designs, creates, tests, and maintains GD.Raptor/4Sight based applications and content solutions to satisfy customer and PMO requirements
  • Follows a formal design process using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and also adheres to laws, standards, and established guidelines for development and delivery of software and web applications (e.g., software reuse, modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault tolerant)
  • Coordinates creation and collection of necessary technology components and integrates them into a coherent site design
  • Designs and develops visually-pleasing, content rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation
  • Develops and maintains GD.Raptor/4Sight software and web development technical documentation to assist with software and web application maintenance and upgrades
  • Provides software process management and configuration management throughout the software / web development lifecycle
  • Provides expert recommendations to the Program Manager for the management of GD.Raptor/4Sight capabilities and develops/implements process improvements that lead to cost efficiencies
  • Integrates new software and web products with existing software and web applications in order to improve the functionality or design of the system
  • Ensures compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures
  • Experience in a rapid paced, time sensitive, high quality environment
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills along with expert customer service
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detail
  • Works independently on more complex projects

Desired Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in web software development and design
  • Proficiency in the use of one or more web technologies such as ASP.net, C#, VB.net, JavaScript, C++, Shell, HTML, PHP, etc.
  • Previous experience with GD.Raptor/4Sight tools and repository databases is highly desirable
  • MA/MS with 10+ years of experience is preferred

Education Required:

  • BA/BS with 8+ years of experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree

Security Clearance:

  • Ability to attain a US Secret security clearance
