Come join GDIT team working with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Enterprise Service Desk Contract seeking a strong Network Specialist for our DLA ESD program in New Cumberland, PA.
Network Specialist - New Cumberland, PA
The Network specialist will ensure the development and delivery of high-quality products and deliverables to clients. Must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of network design, configuring and implementation expertise. This individual has technical knowledge and responsibility of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming, and understands the business or function for which application is designed. This individual must possess or have ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
Responsibilities:
Review existing and proposed network architectures to ensure fit for purpose for DLA
Configure network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls
Define VLANs across the OT network to maximize security and performance
Prepare for and conduct activities in compliance with Federal Guidelines
Create complete, reliable, and trustworthy information on the network and associated equipment, including network drawings
Identify network weaknesses and deficiencies.
Identifying and documenting hardware and software version, including firmware versions.
The Network specialist may:
Write programs according to specifications, which may be provided by Engineers, technical architects, or other computer scientists
Update, repair, modify and expand existing computer programs Level 1 performs more routine aspects of the position and is supervised by higher levels.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 2+ years of experience
