At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an experienced Data Architect supporting the customer, you will be trusted to solve complex IT issues and provide exceptional customer service. In this role, a typical day will include:


Strong technical acumen and able communicate vision and next steps to complete complex design and implementation scenarios related to database design and implementation. Able to provide innovating new ways to standardize existing data processes and optimizing current workflows

Extensive experience supporting, managing, and designing database management systems (Oracle, PostGres, MySQL)

Documented experience with database capacity planning and performance tuning a relational database management system.

Documented experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, RDS, DMS, CDC, Lambda and Step Functions)

Documented experience performing Data Analysis and Data validation

Create Data Mapping documents, data dictionaries and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)

Documented experience improving application, schema, and data design to meet demanding enterprise data solution.

Experience with Agile practices


Experience visualization products Tableau, Cognos or PowerBI

Experience managing features for a distributed, fault-tolerant, self-healing storage system that auto-scaling database system with the ability to migrate database systems to AWS Aurora RDS.

Development experience with Python language.


Alignment to a mission-critical role that directly impacts the customer’s ability to effectively execute its mission.
