As a Lead Data Center DCIM Analyst supporting various health programs, you will be trusted to work on critical infrastructure including structured cabling and standing up a DCIM solution working with NLYTE. This role is an essential position and will be in Rensselaer, NY.

In this role, a typical day will include the responsibilities below:

  • Providing monitoring, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support of information systems and their associated telecommunication methods.
  • Performing all required elements related to accurately tracking cables within the Data Center.
  • Documenting cabling concerns within the environment and putting together plans with other Lines of Service and customers to remediate.
  • Keeping the Data Center Manager informed of any unusual conditions or problems encountered in the performance of daily duties
  • Interacting with all levels of management when working through and planning remediation efforts for cabling within the Data Center
  • Using a variety of interactive tools and processes to determine the health of physical cabling within the Data Center.
  • Performing various tasks related to equipment installs and decommissions including working with Corporate asset Management on the removal of said equipment.
  • Generating trouble tickets for tier 2 and 3 support to other Lines of Service as the work at hand sometimes crosses the responsibilities of multiple lines of service.
  • Maintaining and updating record and tracking databases.

Required qualifications:

  • Networking/information systems Degree; AND
  • 2+ years of related Enterprise IT experience administering the NLYTE DCIM software suite.
  • Certification for network cabling.
  • 2+ years of running, decommissioning and documenting network Ethernet and fiber cabling.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Leadership skills as this position will lead the cabling efforts for the data center and will have other individuals working with them in this capacity.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related Large Scale Data Center experience.
  • 5+ years of experience installing network cabling within a large scale data center.
  • Highly efficient in Visio and other MS products.
  • Familiarity with mainframe systems.
