Project/Task Supervisor

Manages and oversees Supply Chain staff that performs supply chain and logistics functions, material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution. Manages and oversees the life cycle of how goods are moved from the planning stages to the end consumer. Manages and leads the Supply Chain Management function.


GDIT JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Manages the daily operations and work of supply chain staff and may spend a limited portion of performing the work they manage.
  • May manage the development of policies and procedures and ensures their conformance with the departments goals and company/customer objectives.
  • Manages the development and administration of schedule and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.
  • Train and instruct other members of the Supply Chain team.
  • Work with senior leadership to improve all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current methodology and processes.
  • Assist with developing appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
  • Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintain a professional relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives and values.
  • SCOPE: Manages or supervises one or more small to medium sized teams consisting of a few or multiple disciplines

  • DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience, logistic certification. procurement tracking experience. solicitation preparation- process and award.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of success.  Mission oriented.

Preferred Skills:  Team OCONUS Deployment, Procurement, Integration of Equipment, Solicitation and Award Processes, Logistic Management Certifications, SPOT-ES Tracking, DTO/RMC Experience, 10 years of experience in Leadership or as a Supervisor

Two certifications are required for the program:

1. Security+ CE or another 8570 Cert

2. PWS 9.1 cert
