GDIT Is hiring Systems Administrators at all levels. In this role you will be responsible for planning and full life-cycle support for all video and audio communications network services, including installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and management of designated video network distribution systems and associated equipment, both garrison and deployed, for all levels of security classification, in support of the USSOUTHCOM-SCITES program.
Operation, administration and engineering of voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks. Provide technical ownership of overall voice architecture; review and validate understanding of customer design requirements.
Analyze voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.
Plan network layouts and configure systems to user environments.
Create High-Level Designs and Low-Level Designs for areas of expertise.
Plan network layouts and configures systems to user environments.
Analyze network topologies, traffic and capacity requirements.
Provide peer reviews to deployment engineers to ensure design compliance.
Provide technical leadership to survey, deployment, and support engineering teams.
Participate as part of the project team.
Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel and may have supervisory responsibilities.
Review and recommend process changes.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participate in special projects as required.
2-10 years of directly related experience in network analysis and design; hands-on Cisco experience, preferably in a Cisco Unified Communications environment, with exposure to other Cisco Advanced Technologies such as wireless and routing/switching.
Administration and configuration experience with Cisco, Avaya, and Polycom systems.
Experience with installation, configuration and maintenance requirements of end-user devices (including desktop systems), video bridges and single/multi-point control units.
Comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.
DoD 8570.01 IAT-II certification (e.g., Security + CE or equivalent), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) to Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Collaboration.
Collaboration Clearance Requirements:
Minimum Secret Clearance.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
