The ideal Biomedical Technician/Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (BESS) performs duties related to biomedical equipment, device, or system inspection, installation, asset management, preventive maintenance, scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or repair. This position also supports the medical device integration with the VA’s Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM). This biomedical technician possesses skills necessary to inspect, install, maintain, and sustain biomedical equipment and devices that may be integrated or interfaced with the new electronic health record.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $18.40 - $27.60, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
