GDIT is seeking a Senior Software Developer (DevSecOps) to join our team in support of The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Office of Financial Resources (OFR) to implement an Acquisition Management System (AMS). GDIT will acquire, configure, implement, and provide go-live support, providing a low-code commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution.
To implement the AMS, the overall team will be engaged in all aspects of the deployment from requirements gathering, architectural design, software configuration and development, testing, implementation and deployment support, change management, training, data migration, data management, and post go-live support.
This opportunity can work 100% remotely from home. Ideally, we would like someone to be located near the CDC customer off Clifton Rd in Atlanta GA. However, we are most interested in finding the most qualified candidate and open to homebased nationwide.
Provide Appian support in developing the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the application.
Provide Appian support for the implementation of interfaces to applications.
Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications.
Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements. May design embedded systems software.
Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
Plans and leads major technology assignments.
Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
May supervise others.
Monitoring performance and advising of any necessary infrastructure and/or design changes.
Working closely with client stakeholders, architects, analysts and SMEs to validate and/or elicit information requirements for design and architecture.
Required skills and experience:
BA/BS and 8+ years’ experience
Certified Appian developer with recent hands-on experience
Experience developing Appian Plugin
Experience working in an Agile development team
Experience interpreting design requests into functional use within application
Abilty to define and document architecture for technology implementations leveraging different architectural views
Enterprise Application integration (SOA, ESB) and n-tier client-server architectures preferred
Experience in all phases of software development for large-scale business critical applications following Agile methodologies
Business Architecture including identifying & decomposing business capabilities
Business process modeling & optimization experience
Ability to obtain public trust clearance
Desired skills and experience:
Extensive experience in writing and delivering implementation SQL with rollback and logging capabilities
Working knowledge of Application Servers like JBoss, Weblogic, IIS, Tomcat etc. as part of the installation
Experienced in configuring, debugging, and systems integration including configuring forms, reports, underlying logic, and interface components as a developer
Experience with relational databases and SQL scripting & Oracle Database
Experience working with Appian Tempo
Experience in IT with responsibilities in one or more of the areas - Technical Architecture, Application Development, Business process management and/or Enterprise Application Integration (SOA) with Appian or other BPM tools is required
Previous expertise in the role of an architect, responsible for defining the solution architecture on large complex business critical n-tier client/server initiatives involving one or more of the technologies – Mobile/Portals, Workflow, Enterprise Service Bus(ESB), Web Services, Message brokers, Relational Databases
Exposure to common industry platforms and programming languages – Appian BPM, IBM WebSphere, Mule, LAMP/JBOSS, HADOOP, Java, Microsoft/.Net is preferred.

Orchestration of modeled process through a Workflow application

The likely salary range for this position is $116,000 - $174,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
