GDIT is seeking a Network Engineer Associate to work on multiple projects across multiple customers for several of our clients. In this position the Network Engineer Associate will work with a team of engineers. The successful candidate will provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture as well as provide specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Other duties will be to conduct testing of network systems maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. The successful candidate will also evaluate and report on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
BS in Computer Science or relevant technical major; or an AS in relevant technical major and minimum of 2 years experience in network technologies; or 4 years of technical experience with 2 of those years in a networking environment
Must have the ability to acquire a DOD Secret Clearance
Highly Desired Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance
CCENT or Network+ Certifications
Experience or knowledge of Network Architecture, routers, switches, hubs, etc.
