Principal Duties and Responsibilities: An I2TS 3 IT Logistics Technician: • Oversees the transportation of classified and unclassified intelligence IT equipment throughout the world • Works customs issues for worldwide transportation • Works with customers and funding personnel to ensure appropriate funding is available to meet logistics requirements • Support also includes, but is not limited to assistance in logistics management, equipment and spares database management, shipping and tracking, and managing an operational spares • Analyzes standard contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements • Develops logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies • Follows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control • Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times
Desirable Skills / Experience: • Experience with the Army’s Automated Systems Integration Database (ASID) • Experience with Army Property Management Office and supply chain of custody • Knowledge of Procurement Processes and use of the CHESS system • Strong written and oral communication skills
Education Required: • High School diploma/GED with 8-years of related experience, or Associates degree with 6-years of experience, or Bachelors degree with 4-years of experience
Certification(s): • Specific certifications may be required as determined by the Program Manager Security Clearance: • TS/SCI required
Additional: • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract • Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity
