Overview

Provide administrative support to the Scientific Resources team (within the Peer Review and Science Management group). The team supports the performance of peer review evaluations of scientific applications submitted to funding agencies.

 

Responsibilities

Perform general office duties and miscellaneous tasks supporting the Scientific Resources Managers and their teams composed of scientific review officers and editors. Provide administrative support by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies for the team. Monitor and respond to email and phone inquiries promptly. Help managers maintain workflows by developing reporting procedures and implementing and maintaining recordkeeping systems. Monitor task progress and work with managers and other groups to address identified issues. Monitor project database for active programs to ensure that related data and other information are complete and accurate. Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Use SharePoint, survey monkey and other software tools to enhance communication with internal teams.

Qualifications:

High proficiency in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Proven ability to easily learn different software.

Excellent reporting and administrative writing skills

Good organization and problem-solving skills.

Professionalism and excellent verbal communication.

Remote customer support experience is a plus.

Desired:Minimum 2 of years of experience supporting peer review administrative activities is preferred.

Education: Associates Degree or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
