Systems Administrator Hohenfels, Germany Secret/SSBI Clearance is required with the ability to upgrade to Top Secret
The Systems Administrator/Server Admin is required to perform the following duties and tasks: 1. Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of servers and computers running on one or more operating systems. 2. Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems. 3. Sets up administrator and service accounts. 4. Maintains system documentation. 5. Maintains server documentation. 6. Interacts with users, other administrators, and external technical support services. 7. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. 8. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. 9. Must program in an administrative language. 10. Develops and implements testing strategies and document results. 11. Provides advice and training to end-users. 12. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. 13. Participates in special projects as required. 14. Experienced with Windows Server 2012 R2 or above. File servers and operating system knowledge. 15. Familiar with SharePoint 2013 or 2016. 16. Strong customer service skills. 17. Strong work ethic. 18. Strong Windows 10 desktop support skills. 19. Strong desktop imaging skills. 20. Strong hardware/software troubleshooting skills. 21. Advanced understanding of Active Directory and AD automation (scripting), create user account, computer objects, etc. 22. Advanced understanding of distribution lists, security groups, nested groups. Scripting for AD is a must. 23. Intermediate understanding of network troubleshooting: Ping, ipconfig, tracert. 24. May assist in leading the Help Desk team while working on other systems related responsibilities. 25. Position may involve lifting heavy objects, repetitive actions and/or sitting for long periods of time.
Key Skills Required for this position include: • Active Directory and Group Policy • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit • Microsoft WSUS server • VMware ESXI
Desired Skills Include: Proficient in Red Hat Linux Performing ACAS scans for vulnerability management Experience with HBSS and SCCM Familiar with SCSI and Fiber Channel SAN Technology and its implementation
Scripting in PowerShell
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. 5 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.
1. Must possess a Secret /SSBI and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI level clearance. 2. Must obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire. 3. Be DOD 8570 IAT Level II Compliant. (Security +CE or above) at time of hire 4. Must obtain a computing environment certification within 6 months of hire 5. Contingent upon Award of German TESA
