Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will prepare technical and business documentation to support both compliance and continuous functional delivery by the broad program team. In addition, the candidate will be expected to provide summary technical and business findings using both narrative and graphic forms. The candidate will support all facets of contract deliverables required on both a single occurrence and recurring basis. Further, the candidate will support all facets of the program to capture, catalog and secure business requirements and processes that support the programs goals. This candidate will also deliverable management.

The candidate will lead a team to support the Microsoft Dynamics 365 DevOps program for the VA supporting over 70,000 VA employees that use the D365 implementations on a daily basis to provide customer service to Veterans, their families and beneficiaries. Experience with Agile software development methodologies is required. Experience working in support of either a Federal/State/Tribal Government or a health care client is required.   The candidate will support the technical writing aspects of sustainment, operations, maintenance, and enhancement of the D365 based systems and their integrations with the VA’s enterprise supporting Customer Relationship Management (CRM). The candidate may interface from time-to-time with VA business stakeholders, VA Line of business leadership and VA central office client stakeholders, including the Veterans Experience Office (VEO) staff, VA OIT leadership, and COR, and are expected to document and resolve any issues that arise. This position will be remote with limited support required in vendor facilities and/or a government site.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare technical and business documentation according to PWS requirements and task order delivery schedule
  • Generate deliverable deadlines and review processes to insure quality delivery of products
  • Attend meetings with stakeholders to capture technical and business requirements as required
  • Collect and catalog GFI provided to the vendor team
  • Document VA requests for deliverable products and revisions, and develop/update materials to respond to these requests
  • Prepare ad hoc and periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly) presentations and reports and present them to VA stakeholder as required
  • Utilize professional judgement, critical thinking skills and research to improve program processes and resolve issues affecting program performance

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least 5+ years of experience
  • Must have 4+ years of progressive technical editing and writing experience directly related to contractual deliverables
  • Must have 1+ years of experience instituting quality procedures overseeing technical and business documentation delivery
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to business leaders
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
  • US Citizenship or Green card holder

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous Department of Veterans Affairs experience
  • Previous experience supporting Contact Centers
  • Active VA access including assigned CAG and PIV
