Performs Infrastructure duties in the data centers as assigned by the Supervisor to include:

 

  • Assist with install and cabling of server storage, and network devices.
  • Work with GDIT property manager to ensure all IT hardware is asset-tagged
  • Assist with configuration of VMWare ESXi hosts and build of virtual machines
  • Assist with migration of data from legacy Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tool to new DCIM platform.
  • Analyze, research, and resolve discrepancies regarding IT inventory
  • Support application testing following maintenance, upgrades, and outages
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management, customers, and peers
  • Participate in special projects and work with other technologies as required

May also:

1. Performs routine technical tasks in support of engineering, information systems, or related technical operations.

 

2. May install, maintain and operate computers and peripheral equipment.

 

3. May fabricate, install, and repair electronic or mechanical equipment.

 

4. May perform basic systems and/or software testing.
