Develop and manage the execution of performance / stress tests in a Cloud based environment in conjunction with agency COTS vendors to identify potential performance anomalies / issues in the software; analyze results for recommended corrective actions

Develop / configure / execute shell scripts to review database performance under load conditions

Utilize automated testing tools to simulate execution of online transactions

Work with the agency to help adopt best practices for functional test case development and execution

Review master test plans and associated updates in support of new releases

Work with the agency to adopt automated testing tools and regression test cases

Provide guidance and monitor progress of function test teams and their efforts for release candidates and the progress of outstanding defects during each phase of the development cycle.

Define test cases, test matrices, configuration test questionnaires, and writes test scripts from business requirements documentation to confirm that systems meet business objectives.

Determine testing strategies


A degree specializing in Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Minimum of 20 years (18 years with Master’s Degree) experience with test efforts for small to large sized software product development or support projects or parts of large, more complex projects.  Experience in designing, executing and coordinating performance testing to evaluate application performance relative to service level agreements; experience in functional testing to measure quality of functional (business) components and to ensure that the product meets business objectives.  Experience authoring testware, leading test resources, and ensuring that required test deliverables have been completed.  Experience advising and mentoring quality assurance practices within the project team. Experience applying basic industry and functional area knowledge while authoring integration and system test scripts, configuration test questionnaires and other test materials.  Experience executing requirements-based functional tests for application software.

Must have experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium and scripting tools such as Bash or Python as well as SQL databases.

This position requires being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by January 18, 2022 or the start date, if after January 18. Individuals who work in or reside in Texas or Montana or work outside of the United States may be excluded from this requirement.

The likely salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
