General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is looking for an ATG Web Commerce Oracle Developer in Wilkes-Barre PA to join our team supporting the USPS.


As an ATG Web Commerce Oracle Developer you will analyze design, develop, and implement highly complex operating systems and application programs. 


Principal duties include:

  • Design, develop, code, test, and debug highly complex new software products or makes significant enhancements to existing software
  • Develop and applie advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems
  • Resolve highly complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations
  • Conduct investigations and tests of considerable complexity
  • Factor emerging technologies and product supportability into design and implementation
  • Directs the writing and updating of technical documentation such as users manuals, system documentation, and training materials
  • Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress, and presents results to management and/or customer personnel
  • Serves as a customer interface to resolve problems and ensure requirements are met on a timely basis
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced software developers, and m ay have supervisory responsibilities
  • Serves as a technical team or task leader
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
  • Participates in special projects as required

This program only accepts US citizens and/or Green Card Holders. The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.


Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.


A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Oracle WEB Commerce development including one or more of the following skillsets: 

  • Oracle WEB Commerce (ATG) 11.x
  • Installation and configuration
  • B2C Commerce
  • Purchasing and Fulfillment
  • Promotions
  • Scenarios
  • Content Targetters
  • Templates
  • BCC setup and administration
  • ATG Repository and RQL
  • ATG Droplets
  • ATG Form Handlers
  • Multisite integration
  • Endeca integration

A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the following: Java, JEE, JSP, Dojo, Jquery, Struts, CSS, HTML, Soap & Rest WEB Services, JMS, WebSphere, JDBC, Oracle PL/SQL


Other preferred skills:

  • Software Debugging
  • Performance management/tuning
  • Agile
  • VersionOne
  • ALM

Working knowledge of one of more of the following qualifications:

  • Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Assist team with preparation of cost estimates
  • Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices
  • Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc)
  • Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
