Job Description

GDIT is seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused team lead who has a keen understanding of data analysis and reporting.  Experience in transforming data into actionable reporting and analysis according to established business rules is a must. The People Analytics Team Lead will establish and maintain quality assurance practices to ensure that delivered dashboards, reports and analysis are complete, correct, accurate, and defensible every time. Must be able to thrive in a collaborative, high-paced, and dynamic environment, managing both regular deliverables and responding to priority ad-hoc requests.  The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering human resources-related metrics including but not limited to headcount, attrition, talent acquisition, and demographics. 

**This may be a Hybrid role requiring being onsite few days per month if a local office is available.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of the team, including the creation and delivery of weekly and monthly deliverables as well as ad-hoc support requests.
  • Establish and maintain a set of practices to ensure that reports are delivered on time with accurate and defensible data.  Ensuring data accuracy and consistency of reported metrics is of utmost importance.
  • Manage the delivery cadence of regular reports as well as ad-hoc support requests, tracking request submissions, prioritizing work as appropriate, and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Make recommendations for and implement process and technical improvements as directed by the People Analytics Director
  • Standardize and document data transformations to ensure consistency and maintainability.
  • Proactively identify and implement scalable operational efficiencies (e.g., data governance, quality, reporting cadence) to maximize performance and build capacity within the People Analytics team.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related relevant field is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data visualization, business intelligence, dashboard development and reporting; In lieu of degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
  • The attitude and aptitude to learn new technologies in pursuit of automated reporting and analytics.
  • Proven experience leading and motivating teams.
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Excel, including advanced features like Power Query and Pivot Tables
  • Experience with one or more business intelligence software programs such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to act, think analytically and systemically with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to proactively solve and implement solutions to deliver on commitments.  Expert use of issue-based problem solving, root cause analysis, and other similar techniques.          
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and adjust to the changing needs of the business.
  • Possess a positive, persistent, and a production-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge and experience with Workday ATS and HCM preferred.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $93,600 - $140,400, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
