GDIT is seeking an Electronics Technician Senior to support engineering and technical services of Force Protection Systems (FPS) Family of Systems (FOS) to the IBD-SS program with operations located in SWA.
Successful candidates will support our customer in creating capabilities and providing technical services, subject matter expertise, and software solutions and services for platforms such as the Integrated Base Defense (IBD) Kitting, Entry Control Point (ECP), Non-Intrusive Inspection System (NIIS), Rapid Reaction Tunnel Detection (R2TD), Joint Defense Operation Center (JDOC), Combat Outpost Force Protection System (COSFPS), Base Expeditionary Targeting Surveillance System Combined (BETSS-C), BETSS-C Cerberus Scout, BETSS-C Full Motion Video (FMV) , Bistatic Surveillance System (BSS), Rapid Deployment Integrated Surveillance System (RDISS), Force Protection (FP) Suite and Husky Mounted Detection System (HMDS, AN/VSS-6A) Suite of Systems. This support is an essential in maintaining readiness for today's modern platform sensor systems.
Perform troubleshooting and repairs of electronic line replaceable units within the FPS FOS equipment and preventive/corrective maintenance in both garrison and field environments
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Inspect, diagnose, repair, calibrate, and perform quality control for FPS equipment
Complete inspections of unit equipment and open and track work orders
Ensure compliance with all hazardous material regulations
Travel to military sites and conduct preventive and corrective maintenance
Conduct equipment inventories
Complete all required training and maintain certifications
BS degree and 4 years of relevant technical experience, AS degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or HS diploma and 8 years of relevant experience
DoD 8570 technical certifications as directed by the government and Program Manager
US Government Secret or higher level security clearance as required
Willing to live and travel in an austere environment
Provide excellent customer service
Must possess a US passport that will not expire for at least 2 more years and must have at least 4 consecutive blank pages for country visas
Experience with the COLTS or Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-Army)
Knowledge of RAID Tower system hardware and components
Import/Export (EXIM) compliance experience
Experience with military transportation & logistics, MILAIR, USTRANSCOM, etc.
Experience configuring military 463L pallets for MILAIR shipments, aircraft load team member
HAZMAT Dangerous Goods IATA and DOT certification.
Flight line and air cargo loading and palletization experience.
Familiarity with DOD logistics practices and forms, DD250, DD1348, DD1149, etc.
