GDIT has an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Technician supporting the Home Station Mission Command Center (HSMCC) at Ft. Bragg, NC. This position requires someone with a current and active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintainer of the HSMCC Suite, a robust presentation and conferencing system.
  • Maintains smooth operation of local area network utilizing Private IP ranges and VLANS. Plans, evaluates, designs, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.
  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and system hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as: Cisco Switches, Cisco Codecs, Fiber Transmitters, Receivers and Matrix Switchers, BIAMP Audio Controllers, etc. Brief O-5 and above daily on deficiencies, scheduling, and overall system status.
  • Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
  • May coordinate third-party maintenance and warranty support for system equipment.
  • Ability to identify, isolate, and resolve issues on OSI Layers 1-3.
  • Required to interface systems to pull, modify, and upload configuration. Knowledge of Cisco VTC operation and connections.
  • Past experience with fiber installation, termination, and repair is desired.

Qualifications:

  • Current and active Secret Clearance
  • AA/AS, 5+ years’ experience
