GDIT is hiring a Project Management Support Specialist in support of the United States Army Medical Material Development Activity (USAMMDA) located at Ft Detrick, MD.  USAMMDA is the premier developer of world class military medical capabilities with a mission to develop and deliver quality medical capabilities to protect, treat, and sustain the health of Our Service Members.  

In this role, a typical day will include:  

  • Providing project management support to the assigned Division/Product Management Office (PMO) and support the advanced development requirements for medical products
  • Participating in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to include scheduling meetings, attending and preparing agendas, related documentation and minutes
  • Supporting numerous efforts and effectively prioritizing and multi-tasking requirements that have a direct impact on the product portfolio
  • Supporting all major initiatives to advance product development and associated activities
  • Assisting with programmatic and technical document review, market research, and vendor site visits/demonstrations
  • Assisting in portfolio financial management by performing budget analysis and contract support in regards to deliverables and periods of performance
  • Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology and industry developments
  • Supporting the DoD Acquisition Lifecycle and document preparation

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science field or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience in project management and knowledge of medical devices, preferred
  • NACI clearable
  • Willingness to travel (potentially 2-3 day trips every couple months)
