Design and build automated, containerized application platform solutions, with a focus on application concerns, including on-prem distributed application architectures, migrating workloads to containers, containerized development workflows, and integrating container platforms with automated continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines.
Help instantiate applications and databases within a containerized infrastructure, to include working with and supporting databases such as Postgres.
Work with NGinx, HAProxy, or other internal proxying solutions to address networking in a container solution environment.
Enable and mentor software teams to be successful with building containerized applications on Kubernetes.
Architect application modernization solutions for the agency and oversee teams performing migrations and application refactoring.
MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technology field. Experience may be substituted for education.
Minimum 12 experience relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope and complexity.
Familiarity in standing up and delivering new Kubernetes platform solutions to end customers.
Familiarity working with networking, storage, and proxy challenges in a container platform environment.
Applied knowledge of modern software delivery methods and tools like test-driven development (TDD), domain-driven design (DDD), 12 Factor App, DevSecOps, and CI or CD, etc.
Solid experience with Linux, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Ubuntu.
Candidate will be required to acquire DoD Instruction 8570 Level II Certification within 6 months of assignment.
Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
