The Senior Business Analyst & Tester position will be responsible for analyzing, documenting, and communicating system and business processes, being an instrumental player of software implementation project teams throughout the life cycle of the software implementation process. The successful candidate will be facilitating and validating the development of system solutions to satisfy customer’s business needs conducting software presentations and providing technical support to existing and prospective customers. The successful candidate will be implementing and providing inputs for test plans, designing and creating test cases for software testing, performing functional testing, regression testing and keeping track of all the new developments, and producing the evaluated test/defects reports.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • This role should be an expert in technical requirement, functional requirement, and testing fields
  • Able to develop solutions with out of the box thinking to address complex problems
  • Responsible for maintaining Requirements Traceability throughout the full SDLC
  • Responsible for end-to-end test strategy, planning, and communication
  • Facilitate and validate the development of system solutions to satisfy customer’s business needs
  • Conduct software presentations, product demos, and provide technical support to existing and prospective customers
  • Analyze, document, and communicate system and business processes
  • Provide technical review and validation of requirements
  • Documents requirements, workflows, and processes to meet contractual obligations
  • Must be able to prioritize workload and escalate issues or risks in a timely fashion
  • Responsible for ensuring test cases include validation criteria which reasonably covers all areas necessary for complete testing of new and existing functionality
  • Verify completion of requirements with customer and service providers, ensuring expectations are appropriately met
  • Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes
  • Support the collection and reporting of requirements related metrics

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • MS/MBA with 6 years or BA/BS with 8 years or AA/AS with 10 years of computer experience in information systems design and management
  • Experience developing and maintaining system lifecycle documentation;
  • Experience working with business processes and re-engineering business processes and business analysis experience in a system engineering or software application environment
  • Experience testing complex systems ; experienced in technical and functional operations
  • Experience using JIRA, SharePoint, or Confluence
  • US citizen or a Green Card holder

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Capable of asking probing questions and be an effective listener
  • Ability to think critically, evaluate information gathered and present ideas
  • Possesses excellent documentation and writing skills with strong background and experience in problem solving
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices and an understanding of industry trends and difficulties
  • Health Care Industry or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) experience
  • Experience using JIRA, SharePoint, and Confluence
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources
  • Ability to work independently and interact regularly with government and non-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority
  • Works well as a team member in a fast-paced and often time-sensitive environment

Conditions

  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.

The likely salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
