Our work depends on Senior Technical Project Manager joining our team to support one of our Maryland customers. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated equal parts a strong professional IT technical services background matched with excellent Program Management Office (PMO) knowledge and experience managing projects for a wide variety of IT solutions. We are looking for candidates who are detailed-oriented, resourceful, results driven and able to multi-task and prioritize under deadlines. Excellent relationship-building, written and oral communication skills are required.
Hands-on practical information technology experience in IT consulting, computer science, system administration or system engineering disciplines is a must for this position.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in supporting financial and contractual items for similar programs; Excellent knowledge of FAR and CAS required to ensure accounting and financial management procedures are in compliance.
Administrative skills and working knowledge of MS Office applications to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The candidate will assist the Program Manager in the following functions and responsibilities:
Provide technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned PMO related projects, including subcontractor engagement.
Execute clear and attainable project objectives and manage constraints of cost, time, scope, and quality.
Ensure production schedules are met and system resources are used effectively.
Coordinate resolution of production-related problems. Collaborate with the customer and other teams to solve challenges.
Prioritize day-to-day workflow and staffing needs to ensure SLAs and critical metrics are met or exceeded. Handle escalations to resolution.
Develops technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting.
Manages the risk tracking process.
Monitor and communicate daily, weekly and/or monthly reports to ensure Service Level Agreements, and/or metrics objectives, are met on an ongoing basis and act to improve.
Assist in the development, implementation and training of department standard operating procedures, processes and objectives. Maintain adherence to standard methods and procedures.
Engage in detailed problem solving to resolve technical issues, work with internal and inter-departmental staff to identify and enable automation of operations, and reduce manual efforts.
Lead or participate in activities supporting roll-out of new products, executive escalations, coordination, and support for inter-departmental initiatives.
Understand the scope of technical tools and capabilities possessed by various customer technical offices.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Bachelors Degree (Science, Engineering or Technology) and a minimum 10 years experience.
Strong IT industry technical experience.
Effective management, administrative and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
PMP (Project Manager Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification required.
TS/SCI with Poly is required
