General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc.  has an opening for the position of Software Developer Senior (Ref# SDS419VD).

Work Location:  Position may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.

Job Duties:  Research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software, leading data warehousing, data migration, and data analytics projects.  Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.  Evaluate interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.  Document testing and maintenance of system corrections.  Responsible for data warehousing design, tuning, and ETL process development.  Design, develop, test, and support new capabilities and ongoing changes within the various application data marts.  Collaborate with other IT specialists to rapidly develop and deliver solutions that meet changing business needs.  Perform all necessary discovery and fact finding to fully understand business problems and opportunities and execute all assignments with limited supervision.  Effectively communicate development and production issues to the project team, applicable vendors, and/or the manager in a timely manner.  Work with data owners to document data mappings and transformations to support effective downstream analytics and alerts.  Research and stay abreast of technology trends and IT best practices, with a focus on continuous learning.  Develop test data as necessary to support testing.  Make recommendations and advise on data refresh, optimization of data, data storage, and data integration among two or more systems.  Attend various meetings as ETL subject-matter expert.  Use understanding of cloud technologies to evaluate, plan, and migrate.  Perform business intelligence reporting and dashboard development.  Use of Informatica, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, XML, XSLT, JSON, Web Services, Oracle Application Express (APEX), Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, Shell Scripting, Salesforce, Lotus Notes, Amazon Web Services (AWS), UNIX/Linux, and Windows.

Requirements:  This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, CIS, MIS, or a related field.  Plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years in a related occupation including Programmer Analyst or related experience.  Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience.  Position requires 3 years of experience with ETL, business intelligence reporting, Informatica, PL/SQL, Oracle, Shell Scripting, Salesforce, and Linux.  Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein.  40hrs/week.

The likely salary range for this position is $75,599 - $126,250, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
