Requirements:

  • BS in related field PLUS 8 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Hours: 40hrs/wk / On-call
  • Cleared: TS/SCI with Poly
  • Certifications: DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II (Sec+, CASP, CISSP)
  • Network: TCP/IP, VoIP, Layer 2/3 networking
  • Compliance: familiarity with STE/STN and CCRI
  • Hardware Platform Experience: Infoblox, NetMRI, IPSONAR, Active Directory (DNS) Windows Server 2016
  • Experience Configure, test, patch and assist to implement latest recommended software upgrades
  • Security vulnerability management guidance

Typical Resident Engineer skills and activities include:  

  • Infoblox Server Support/DNS-DHCP Technician/Searchlight Support/NetMRI
  • Tests, troubleshoots, installs, calibrates, repairs and modifies systems to make sure reliable functions are working correctly 
  • Manages DNS and DHCP zones in Infoblox 
  • Adds/Configures new LAN segments in DNS 
  • Configures DHCP scopes 
  • Maintains customer computer systems, telephone equipment, and others as assigned 
  • Assists in procuring and tracking hardware and software 
  • Performs internal installation, preventive maintenance, routine repair, and calibration of company's products and equipment 
  • Acts as a liaison with the customer on routine technical and service problems to ensure that customer needs are met 
  • Maintain Internet Protocol (IP) Protocol Service through Infoblox appliances 
  • Delegate Internet Protocol (IP) address spaces 
  • Reserve/maintain requests for IP Version 4 & 6 (IPV4, IPV6), Voice Over Internet 
  • Protocol (VOIP) and Multicast IP Addresses 
  • Maintains customer computer systems, telephone equipment, and others as assigned 
  • Configure/Deploy/Maintain NetMRI system
  • Assists in procuring and tracking hardware
